Jamie Wilson – A Simple Focus – August 10, 2006
As a small group we visited the mp3 archives of Coast Vineyard and Pastor Jamie Wilson again on August 10th. He spoke on Psalm 27 and broke it into three parts. The sections were as follows:
Verses 1-4 – What is your goal.
Pastor Jamie posed three self-evaluation questions:

Where are you most at home?

What is your strongest attraction?

What is our highest goal?
Verses 5-8 – A simple faith. Jesus is made too complicated today.
Pastor Jamie dug a little deeper into what faith is.

Faith is a hunger, as physical hunger is a sign of good health.

Faith is a response, as everything good is a result/originated from God.

Faith is a commitment, since we are slow learners.
Verses 9-14 – Wait on the Lord.

Waiting on God is where the focus comes from, no running ahead.

Waiting on God takes courage.
-
Waiting on God takes surrender.
